You're "their" wife as much as they're "your" husband. But if he seriously acts like he owns you and mistreats you in anyway, you probably shouldn't have married him.

That doesn't sound like a healthy marriage to say either of you "owns" the other. You are united as one because of love, but you should still have your own free will in most situations. It is no longer legal for one person to own another. Just ask Abe :-)

Most men know they don't own you and wouldn't want to control you either.But they do want the same "respect" from you that they give you.Marriage is about an equal partnership.When one or the other forgets this the bond that holds them together begins to weaken.

People can't own other people! People own pets, humans are different! Each person has the right to be "their own" person and marriage doesn't take that away!!!!!!!
