Laws of the land............and most religions. How can a Man be "True and Faithful" (a committment made at the time of marriage) if he has more than one wife?!?! Doesn't make sense to me.... A man and a woman become one in Holy Matrimony. Their souls unite, they are soulmates. You can only give yourself wholly to one person. Otherwise you are only giving a portion of yourself and jipping the other person out of the fullness of the relationship and its fulfillment...

Well society has grown used to 2 to a marriage. but there really isn't a biblical or other reason for it, except for Paul saying that deacon should only have one wife.

A wife has a legal right to nag you. You do not want more than one wife nagging at you at a time.

The bible says if you are a church or city leader you should limit yourself to one wife.
I'm neither.
But, I live in America...where child support and alimony sucks...so I'm faithful baby!
