I think the new Evinrues are worth looking into. I am i/o but spend time at marinas hear nothing but good stuff about them
They are supposedly the most fuel efficient outboard engine
for the hp out there The new ones they are saying will burn
e85 ethanol., I am told..

If you want 4 strokes...go with the new yamaha, good power and reliability.
If you want 2 strokes, the new evinrude eTec is pretty awesome, the power of a 2stoke but reliable, quiet, and easy to maintian.

All boats suck gas like a drunken sailor on shore leave. A 4 stroke engine would be better on fuel.

i think the OMC e-tecs are the real deal right now. less weight than a 4-stroke, clean burn, and hardly any maintenance at all.
