Here is my suprise for my girlfriend. I am making her favorite meal chicken parmeson and I am trying to make it romantic by having candles, getting her flowers with a little poem i thought up on the card, and I bought her some chocolates of her fav types of chocolates, also gonna try and rent some romantic type of movies that aren't too chick flicky. Its our 1st Valentine's day together, but what I wanna know is should I get a card for her too?

No. You're cooking for her, bought her chocolates, have candles and videos and wrote her a poem. What a wonderful Valentines day she will have. Buying a card could not possibly say anything that you are not expressing already. She is very lucky to have you. Happy Valentine's day to both of you.

since you've done so much already all I can say is make a handmade card. Nothing says "I love you" more than something that came from the heart. The meal and flowers are a great touch dude.

yes get her a very mooshy card that shows your feeling,every girl is a sucker for a card,sounds like you care for her alot and she is going to enjoy Valentines day because of your thoughtfulness.

i think you should give her a card because any girl would want her boyfriend to give her a card or letter with thoughtful and sweet messages...especially if these messages are originally made by her bf
