I have a really nice 2-piece engagement/wedding ring...it has a really great center diamond that is .4 kt round brilliant with VS1 clarity (I have the GIA cert on it) and it's surrounded by 12 more diamonds. The center of the ring comes out as an engagement ring. So, it's good quality. Was $5000 new...I have tried e-bay but no bites yet. I tried "IdonowIdont" but...they would only let you put a 50 kb picture or something so I couldn't put a picture with it. I've tried Craigslist too. Any other ideas? Any professional places you know in the country that pay a decent price for this kind of thing? Thanks! :)

I didn't even know places did that! Especially, not Kay's. I don't think there is anything wrong with buying a "used" engagement/wedding ring. I feel the same way as you it's just like wearing something passed on from a loved one. Good luck in the search for your ring!

I assume this is a ring given to you by someone you wish to forget, and so getting megabucks isn't your top priority, if so a pawnshop will do, because while they won't throw money at you, they won't necessarily fleece you either. If, however, this was given to you by an intended that you did care about, you might try the local jewelry stores in your town; do they have Zale's, Rogers & Holland's. etc.? I don't know if they buy from individuals but they would have more money and more sense of what a good ring is worth.

You can make the kb in a picture smaller by going to http://www.irfanview.com/main_download_engl.htm and downloading irfanview. Irfanview makes your pictures smaller. After you download it, all you have to do is open it and then open your picture in it and then save it. It automatically saves it as a smaller kb. It's what you have to use on myspace if you want to post pictures on there.

Or have you tried running an add in the newspaper. I would say that one of the online auctions would be your best bet. Good Luck.
