What kind of hanging microphone is better, cardioid or supercardioid?

I am going to hang choir mics and have never done this before and have had input from different sources and don't know what to do. I just want to know which mic is the best.

for more info on microphones, there is not enough info in your post to adequately answer your question, but if you read the info on the site you will at least be more knowledgable...!
answer depends on how far away your mic's are hanging for a start....and is this for live performance or recording?
