CIA.gov is a great place to find info because it is the world factbook and tells you basically everything you would ever want to know about any country in the world. As for the German people, they dress like all other Europeans and even Americans. The only time Germans dress in traditional costumes are for special festivals like oktoberfest. AS for the foods, Germans have a lot of pork in their traditional dishes with sauerkraut. But really, there are all types of restaurants in Germany (ie Italian, Indian, Chinese, Thai, etc). Football (soccer) is a big sport in Germany as it is in most of Europe. Google Germany and see what you can come up with. It can't hurt. Good luck.

honestly they are alot like you and me. they have many dishes, such as weinershnitzel (spelling i've got no clue) its actually really good. And french fries with ketchup or mayonaisse is an actual entree. it's cheaper to get a class of wine or beer than a soda or water. Berlin is the capital. Lots of castles and everything. It is europe and they did go through the midevil times... They are now on the Euro instead of the Mark. Most are very friendly. You have to pay to use a public restroom (or so it was about 8 yrs back) Clothes are just like your's or mine. They listen to alot of the same music and watch alot of the same movies (many are translated into deutch) spare time is spent with friends, or infront of a game console. They have a great train/subway systems. like bullet trains and subways out the wazoo. they have lights that do this nifty thing. when its yellow the light will start to blink to warn you its fixing to turn red. It gets dark much later there... they've come up with this system with cross walks thats also real smart. i dont know if its in all cities but it was in many that i went to. but here in america cross walks are above ground. There they have like a tunnel system where cross walks and even some sidewalks are underground so you dont get hit by traffic! smart huh? especially since over there pedestrians don't have the right-of-way. I hope this was somewhat helpful. it sounded like you needed random facts not statistics. a good site to go to is. www.cia.gov its a world fact book. just look up germany! i've used it on many projects. Good luck to u!

There's a ton of information out there that a simple web search on "Germany" will bring you. Try these websites for starters:

http://lcweb2.loc.gov/frd/cs/detoc.html
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Germany
http://www.germany-tourism.de/
https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications/factbook/geos/gm.html

They wear basically the same kinds of clothes there as in the US or UK. There are more cultural activities (theatre, music, art, museums, etc.) than other places but they have similar hobbies as any other place, like reading, hiking, Internet surfing, movies, etc. People are pretty much the same all over these days save for religious & political beliefs.
