When you play with fire your going to get burned. Do the crime and do the time and all the other cliches I can't think of at the moment. You done it and now you want someone to give you a break? Maybe you don't deserve a break.

You can be accused of larceny because larceny occurs once you take the purse and walk away with it. The crime is considered completed at that point. Giving it back later, is the best thing to do morally, but it doesn't change the fact that the crime occurred as far as the law sees . So u can get in trouble IF SHE CAN PROVE IT. The degree of trouble will depend o how much money was in the purse (ex- petty larceny v. Grand larceny). If it was only a little bit of money in the purse the worse they can prob do is fine or give community service. Keep in mind for the police to go after you they have to have probable cause that you did this...which is more than a mere suspicion. Right now it is your word against her's. Just keep it that way and don't tell people you know.

As for what to do, ignore her. If u are questioned, do NOT admit that you did it. If the police get involved do NOT answer unless you have first spoken to ct appointed counsel. No matter what the police say. It is your Miranda right.

I am sure it will not get to this level. Humor her...and then slowly start ignoring her. She would have to prove that you took the purse. The police will probably see this as two people bickering and not want to get involved. The more that u make it seem that way the better.

explain to her you can not find the two items and as soon as you do you will get them to her. If she still threat-ins you with the cops tell her to call them you don't care because you will get her for harassment. I hope you learned your lesson

Get a TRO. If she tries to contact you after the TRO is served, call the police

She's angry..of course.
Maybe when she has a
chance to cool down,
she will find that those
two things were never
in the purse to begin with.
It happens..............

You messed up. It won't just go away. Face it head on, and do the right thing.
