My doctor told me I was 35-weeks pregnant today and said that due to my having gestational diabetes, he was going to induce labor when I was 37-weeks. HOWEVER, he said he'd induce March 10th or 12th. If I'm 35-weeks pregnant today, shouldn't I be 37-weeks pregnant around the 1st of March? Also, when I was pregnant with my son, his due date was April 6th, and I ended up having him March 19th. If this one is anything like her brother, she'll come before March! I don't know what to think right now. Opinions? Comments? Be nice or else I'll report you...

I think your doctor probably is thinking you are in your 35th week, so you will be a compleate 35 weeks soon. And he will want to enduce you after you are a compleate 37 weeks, not before. I am in my 16th week, and will be 16 weeks tomorrow. I hope that that helps you, If the baby comes on her own, then you dont need to be enduced. There is always a bright side. Congratulations.

Definitely call the doctor to confirm. Don't be embarrassed. Just say exactly what you said here, "I was thinking about what you said after the appointment, and I have a few questions to clarify.." Congrats!

Trust your doctor and if your baby does start to come early and your dr doesn't think its the right time he can give you something to stop the labor.

That is to serious of a question for people to guess at, so don't be afraid to call your doctor and ask him these questions. That is what he is suppose to be there for, to help ease your anxiety and make it a stress free birth. Best of Luck

Hmm, sounds like there was some mis-communication somewhere. I say call the Dr. tomorrow and confirm what he did or didn't say. Congrats on the new baby!!
