Im a 27 year old guy who likes to dress up as a girl from time to time at the house just for fun. The only problem i have is deciding the best places to shop and what to buy. I really enjoy wearing bras and panties but its hard to shop for them because I feel like everyone is watching me in the lingerie section of a store.
How easy is it for women to tell if a guy is shopping for a gift for a girlfriend / wife or for himself?
Finnaly, do you have any ideas or pointers for my next shopping trip.

Honestly, don't be afraid.. some GIRLS that are looking at you are actually turned on by you looking at the clothes.
Anyhoo... it is really easy for me, personally, to tell if a guy is buying something for himself or for someone else. Normally guys would ask a sale's associate or someone to help him find something if he was looking for a girlfriend. Also, if he was looking for a girlfriend something, he would probably look a little confused. It's not easy for most guys to go into the bra/undie department in the first place! If a guy is buying something for someone else, he hurries and decides what he wants without REALLY examining it. Pretty much he looks at the color and size to make sure it will work, and gets out of the department. Also, most guys that are shopping for someone else end up asking SOME girl what they think about the item.
Guys that are buying lingerie for themselves often put the items up to them ("picturing it on themselves") and REALLY look at it closely. They spend plenty of time looking at EVERY item, trying to decide what they want. Also, they tend to not ask for any help. I know at the store I work in, it's obvious when the guy is openly holding it and not trying to hide the item that he is buying amongst other things.
On your next shopping trip, if you want to make it less obvious, ask a sales person to help you pick something out. It might sound stupid.. but walk in there wanting to buy yourself something, and end up asking someone for help. The most important thing is.. when the person helps you, do NOT hold the item up to yourself OR go into the dressing rooms. That is SO obvious. I wouldn't be worried about it, though!

this sissy crossdresser just loves shopping. i even ask them for help on what size i should wear. most of the time they are very helpful and a few times they even laughed at me

but maybe if you got a gift receipt
then they wouldn't think anything of it
