Different strokes for different folks. I am personally turned off by too much makeup on a lady. There are some places where makeup seems inappropriate to me, such as a camp out. I tend to prefer a more natural look. Most women don't NEED makeup as much as they think. Some might say that those who don't use makeup actually take more pride in their appearance.

I take pride in myself whether I'm wearing makeup or not. I don't wear makeup everywhere but I do enjoy wearing it. I love to experiment with different colors and looks. Personally, I wear mascara, eyeshadow, tinted moisturizer, concealor, and lip balm as my normal look. I never wear more than that. However, I would leave the house without makeup and often do. I have just as much pride in myself when I'm wearing it than when I'm not.

I take pride in my appearence even on days that I don't wear makeup. I don't need makeup to feel beautiful and nor should you. A woman's pride isn't judged by how much cover up and color she has on her face, but how confident she displays herself without the makeup. In my opinion, girls who feel that they cannot leave the house without cover-up, eyeshadow, and the works going on, aren't very comfortable in their own skin and thus, guys wont be able to relax around them.
Enjoy how you look without makeup. Take pride in your natural beauty and if you feel like dressing up for a dinner or even a nice day at school, go ahead and play with the makeup, but don't over do it. Mascara and eyeliner is always a beautiful but natural touch.

I wear make-up to work and for special occassions.
In the summer when I have that "sunny" glow I skip almost everything but mascara & lip gloss.
I take pride in my appearance no matter what - with or without make-up. Don't be pressured into becoming a makeup junkie... if it's not you, it's not you. None of my beautiful sisters wear makeup except on very special occassions (one sis only wore it once, to her wedding!) and they all look sexy and great all the time.

Personally, make-up is a must when leaving the house. Without it, my entire demeanor changes; I look down and the ground and shy away from direct eye contact. So, in my case-having my hair and make-up done is a huge confidence booster. In the case of other women, it depends-some women are so beautiful that they simply do not need any. Some cake it on too heavy (I'm sure some think this about me), and some, frankly, could use a little help. I don't think make-up is necessarily part of the "pride in appearance" equation-many other factors apply. Make-up is only one of the possibilities. One thing about it though-women who do show up looking disheveled and slovenly in public are often hostile to the women who did put forth the effort.

Make up has nothing to do with pride in one self. It's to boost your self confidence and appearance. Some women are naturally beautiful and just don't need it at all, some women actually look worse with make up on. Maybe they don't have time in their busy lives to put make up on before they make a quick trip here or there. It doesn't mean they aren't taking pride, there are a number of factors. Lazy, don't like to wear any, don't have time.. etc.

I don't wear make-up all the time. I think your skin needs to breath...so to speak. when you continue to cake make up on, it is just bad for the skin to do this over and over, and yeah removing it b4 you go to bed is good....but the skin needs more air than that. But that assumption is just that....it was probably the assumption of some pris pot, stuck on myself .... and I would get up at 4:00 in the am so that my husband will not see me without my makeup type of person.....pfft, I am not that self absorbed, and I do take a great deal of pride in my appearance.....I just don't put all that I am in only my appearance....it is a very shallow person who does that.

I put on makeup to go out to get the mail. I never leave my front door without it. If you're young and have good skin you don't need alot of makeup to look good. So I think that assumption is alot of garbage. Unfortunately I'm not that young anymore and I need all the help I can get!! Too much makeup on a young face looks to made up. If you feel good about how you look don't listen to anyone else.

If you look good in mascara and lip balm, then good for you! Less is more. I put on a lot of makeup but I make it look like I have on very little.
If you are blessed with good skin, no reason to cover it up! I think if a woman feels she looks good, then good for her - no doubt she does!!

The opinion that women who don't wear make up don't take pride in their appearance is pure BS. I don't wear make up everyday either. Sometimes I don't want to, and I don't force myself to do it. And the people who say that are the ones who has to wear make up because they don't look good without it! It's true. I mean the reason ppl use make up is to look better the way they are already.
If you don't wear that much make up, take pride in it, you must have natural looks that make up are not necesary.
