She says she likes someone else but is very shy with me. Her friends approach me and say thing like, "oh, you're [her] friend." We talk sometimes online but not in person cuz we're both shy.

she's shy around you cause of the break-up. break-ups scar friendships sometimes and they're not easy to cope with. either that or she still has feelings for you and it hurts her to see you/talk to you everyday. however I'm not really sure what's going on in her head right now but don't ask. you need to just be a good friend and apologize about being mean and nasty. she's probably shy cause she can't get what happened that day out of her head. us girls get our ego stepped on quite a bit cause we are sensitive. good luck xx

If she keeps looking at you in class or something or even smiling at you. You both have to get over the shyness. Or she is trying to make you jealous with the whole {liking someone else thing} you should take a chance ask her out. YOU HAVE TO TALK WITH HER ALOT. Good Luck!
