I can't stop worrying about my acne. I had totally clear skin before I fell pregnant and now I have it on my face, neck, back and chest. It is horrible I just want to know if other people had it and when it went away.

Unfortunately, my bacne (back acne) didn't go away until I was almost 6 months along, but luckily, most of my skin cleared up around that time as well. I think every woman's hormones are different, so your timing might be different from anyone else's... just give it time, and take heart- it's all worth it in the end when you're holding that amazing little person in your arms. :-)

I have it on my back, I get my husband to clean my back with sea breaze astringent, it is alchohol based I think, I usualy drys it right up. It might be to harsh on your face tho. I have a gf that got it really bad after the baby came, she started using Proactive solution. It started to clear up in days. I would ask your doc if it is safe to use while you are pregnant, but if it is, it is worth the money for it. I have read in the fit pregnancy magazine not to use salicylic acid when you are pregnant too. It didnt say anything about it being harmfull to the baby, but I think it was aiming at if your having an acne problem then it makes your skin to clean, so you just produce more oil, in this case it would defeat the purpose of cleaning your face. I feel for you, the baby will be here soon, and you will be back to normal. Good Luck

Rampaging hormones do crazy things to your body when you're pregnant.

Breakouts and skin changes are common, as are noticeable changes to your hair and fingernails.

My second pregnancy (a boy) resulted in acne. It started to clear by about 30 weeks and was almost gone by the time I gave birth.

Ask your doctor about the best topical application to help keep it under control - be very careful about using any over the counter acne treatments or oral supplements as some are high in vitamin A ingedients which can be dangerous for your developing baby.

I had a touch of pregnancy acne, just on my face, but it didn't clear up until about 3 weeks after I had my son. But the good news was that with my second pregnancy, four months after I had my son, I had the most radiant skin and complexion. So it might be bad this time, but every pregnancy is different, so don't let it discourage you.

We as preggo chicks know more than anyone that your hormones are all out of whack when you're "knocked up". Because we're presuming that our acne breakouts are hormone related it should calm down again when our hormones are back to normal.
In the meantime though, I use Neways - 100% guaranteed to be free of ALL TOXIC CHEMICALS so I know it's safe for me and my little one. I loved the products so much I became a distributor for Neways. I didn't get it all over, but I did get some acne. It went away about 6 months of pregnancy.

I didn't get it THAT badly! Mine went away around 4-5 months pregnant with both pregnancies. I used Aveeno foaming facial cleanser and then followed it with Oil of Olay Toner. Worked wonderfully for me...
