The water is just to get then. It really doesn't matter.

Not a stupid question. It is best to take all medicine with water, even a little bit. The water helps the medicine from getting stuck in the back of your mouth or in your throat. Also, it helps the get the pill down as it travels down to your esophagus. Plus some pills have coatings that will begin to dissolve faster if taken with water and will get into your system faster. Although, I am not sure that is an issue with birth control pills.
Is it going to hurt you if you don't? - probably not. But just to be safe, drink some water with it. It'll make the pill go down easier and you will get that extra water your body needs.

The pill wont be less effective, however sometimes without water or some drink the pills you take sometimes do not go all the way down and will start to dissolve in the oesophagus this results in a bitter taste in the mouth.

It doesn't make the pill less effective but depending on the amount of iron you have in the pills if any you will need water when you take the pill to replenish your body with the water that the pill will use to flow through your body. That's what my doc told me. I hope it helps.

No such thing as a stupid question....all pills should be taken with a glass of water. This helps to dissolve the coating on the pill and you absorb it faster. Good to hear that you are taking responsibility for your self, and remember, be careful of STDs and use condoms.

Yes, its a bad idea. It doesn't happen often, but it is possible that the pill will get stuck in your esophagus, thus not giving you the protection. This can also cause pill esophagitis, which is about as bad as pregnancy. A small glass of water is all you really need. Your doc can confirm this.

so a strategies as i comprehend it is not undesirable in any respect, basically perplexing to swallow. What you may no longer do is dissolve pills in water that don't say they are soluble. it is via fact pills are designed to dissolve into the blood flow at a particular fee. in case you dissolve them they flow into the blood flow too in the present day and reason huge issues. My mom had to take some pills and asked for them to be overwhelmed right into a tumbler of water. a pair of hours later she vomited blood. The pills had attacked the liner in her abdomen.

No, it won't affect the effectiveness of your BCP to take it without water. If your esophagus is moist enough for it to get down to your stomach everything will be fine. This is not a stupid question; some medications do require you to take them with a large glass of water (for instance, fiber tablets or vitamins) in order to help them break down, or to avoid irritation of your stomach.
