P.A.M., I went to that site and couldn't even look at the pictures! I tried to read it but those spiders on the right were just overwhelming.

Very rarely, and only in rural areas. I lived for a while in Houston, and in Corpus Christi, and in San Antone. And I never did get a spider in my house, much less a perfectly grand spider like a tarantula. Cockroaches are another thing. They are everywhere in Texas, and they have wings and fly. They are kind of like the state bird. The people in Texas call them palmettos bugs, but don't be fooled.

I lived in Texas 10 years,I lived in the country and rarely came
across Tarantulas. They are very docile.I have been living in A suburb of Los Angeles I have occasional encounters with Black widows and brown recluse spiders. They sometimes are
around back yard wood piles old storage rooms ect...
You need to get over your fear of these. They are poisonous but
Rarely bite only as a defense.Tarantulas you can by at some pet stores. This fear is out of proportion.Your fear comes from lack of knowledge and fear from others.

Spiders are not scary, they are so little, they don't eat much. But in TEXAS where everything is bigger, all bets are off.

I have given you a URL, take the time to read a bit, it is quite interesting and might give you new insight on spiders.

Happy hunting.

It replace into an exceedingly super black spider with yellow markings. i replace into frightened of it,yet i found out later it replace right into a common backyard spider, and comparatively danger loose. They chew besides the undeniable fact that that's different from a black widow or brown recluse.
