I have seen lightining during a snowstorm and it is truly a beautiful thing to witness! But I have heard people talk about global warming and environmental changes are causing more events like this to happen. I cannot deny that I have seen more thundersnow in recent years than I have in times past. But I can't say the 2 are related.

Yeah I've heard it does happen alot in Michigan! Of course their weather is altered greatly by Lake Michigan.

i have also seen this and it is beautiful and strange.it doesnt happen often but it does ocurr in michigan at least occasionaly

Thundersnow happens during big snow storms such as Blizzards

that sounds amazingg!! here in NY i have never seen/heard of such a storm but i hope i get to experience it ! I always can't wait until the summer for the thunderstorms but now im excited knowing that it can happen in the winter too !! THANKS!
