I have to do a project on the radio, music, and other popular entertainment int he 1920's. Could someone give me some good links or good books to help me out? Thanks

I know what the Roaring 20's is. By the way, the guilded age is before the 1920's.
I was just lookin to see if anybody knows a site or book with some strong fact and stuff. Thanks again.

Wow! That period in US history was known as the Roaring Twenties. It was a time of jazz, flappers, dances like the Charleston and the Lindy Hop. It was also a time of silent movies (in black and white) of radio sets that were little more than crystal sets, of gramaphone records and wind-up victrolas.
Vaudeville was popular and at home, people viewed scenic wonders through a stereopticon (it was a viewing device that used two slides and gave the impression of three dimensional viewing). People played parlour games -- charades were popular, and bridge and whist were popular games as well.
Life was much simpler in those days.

T.V was invented on the year 1925. Mask of the Zoro was scripted in 1920. (Theater) music's of 1920 such as "Crazy Blues" by Mamie Smith "Dardanella" by Ben Selvin's Novelty Orchestra "I've Got My Captain Working For Me Now" by Al Jolson "Love Nest" by John Steel "Whispering" by Paul Whiteman's Orchestra

On this day in 1924, the first network radio program to be sponsored by advertising debuts. The show, The Eveready Hour, was sponsored by the National Carbon Company and broadcast in New York, Washington, and Providence. The show was the first of many radio variety shows, featuring music, stories, and celebrity appearances.
