valentines day is soon, and my gf knows money is tight so she understands if i dont get her much...i really wanted to ask her to marry me on valentines day,but i dont have any to funds to buy a ring,i wanted it to be a big surprise,any suggestions on how i can get money,i realize this is a bogus question but i just wanted to hear honest opinions,thanks

There are a lot of things you can do with no money, you just have to be creative and think outside of the box. You can even get help from other people..like your friend or her friends, family members etc.
If you live by the beach or can drive to one, you can spell the question out in the sand with stones, sea shells, sticks or something...and put a blanket over it, so she doesn't see it right away. You can make a romantic picnic meal to have first, then play music and dance by the shore, and then lift up the blanket and show her the question. Anyways, thats just an example of many possibilities. Give her a nice speech before you ask..something that shows you made an effort to think about why you want to spend the rest of your life with her, and that it isn't just a whim. Good luck.

If she knows money is tight, she'll understand. How about telling her the truth? That you want to marry her, that you want more than anything to buy her a ring and ask her... but it's just not possible right now. Ask her to marry you, ask her to help pick out the ring, and pick the date for the purchase of the ring - and start saving. Do something "cheesy" like a picture of the ring you want to buy in a card, with a love letter telling her WHY you want to marry her. Personally, I think in this case, the thought DOES count. And if she's worth it, she will too.

Buy her one red rose, or just get it from ur garden or indoor plant, write her a heartfelt song or a poem, then take her to the highest peak of the mountain overlooking the city and stare at her eyes...then read her the poem or the song.

i'd not say throughout lunch. It purely seems to...eh. notwithstanding! in the morning is an excellent time that helps you to have a "little piece of you" with them the entire day. And on the properly of the day is solid also, in case he/she has had a nasty day, your present will cheer them up, and they are going to love you even more beneficial!

well if your really desperate you could bum money off of your friends and family then pay them back later.
