ok so here's the quesion:

6t + 7a / 4= t, then what is 4t in terms of a

if someone can help tht would be great. I have the answer here but i do not know how to figure it out. But i wont give the answer out cause i want to see other people's answers. Pleae help it would be really helpful to me.

the answer is "-14a"

I think if you meant (6t + 7a)/4 = t, that would help in your problem work out right. The difference lies in your parentheses (and it's hard to make that disctinction sometimes when you're typing it out) - the way you have it written, you have the 4 under the 7a only, when it should be under the entire left side of the equation. So here goes:

(6t + 7a)/4 = t
6t + 7a = 4t
2t = -7a
4t = -14a

24t + 7a = 4t

20t = -7a

t = -7a / 20

4t = 4(-7a / 20)

= -28a / 20

= -1.4a
