The mp3 players on the website below are pretty nice. I don't have one, but I saw my friend using one and I really liked it.

They range from $139.99 to $249.99 so you can just choose how much memory you want. They play both music and videos and includes the Sansa Media Converter to support all picture and video formats.

I know an awesome one. It was rated #1 by Consumer Reports so I bought one and I love it. It's the iRiver U10. It holds 1GB, it's pretty small, has a decent color LCD screen with great color, and it produces very good sound, even with ear buds. I bought mine on Amazon.com. My model is a little out dated now but it's replacement model is even better, the iRiver cliX.

when you say small you mean memory or physical size or price or what? id recommend cowons and irivers. for iriver you could take a look at the s10 (small, 1gb) or e10 (slightly bigger i think 6 or 8gb) and for cowon theres the U3 (small, 1 or 2 gb) and the iaudio 6 (small also but 6gb). these brands got excellent sound quality and features and stuff. check em out

You're better buying a good phone with lots of memory and a camera. It would be cheaper and have more capabilities.

I purchased the samsung sync that has it all, internet, phone,video,IM,text,mp3 player,recorder,2mp camera.

This would be the way to go...
