One will pitch good (Jennings) and one will throw extended batting practice (Williams). Everyone that leaves Coors Field excels and Jennings has fantastic stuff. Look for him to win at least 15 games for the Astros. Williams ordinary stuff worked good at the enormous Petco Park.....but the Astros home park is like a tee-ball field.

They will move their arms in an over-hand motion bringing the ball to a relatively high velocity, then release, attempting to befuddle the hitter at the plate. It's how most pitchers pitch. ;) How effective will they be? Jennings should be solid, though I wouldn't expect as great a performance as last year. He's still learning. Williams will eat up innings and get as many wins at the team can score 5+ run games. Which is to say, not many.

Two very different years are in store for these aquisitions. Jennings is a star in waiting. Now that he has been parolled from Colorado, he is poised to come up big and will be a suitable replacement for Pettite as Oswalt counterpart.
Woody will not, however, remind anyone of Clemens in Houston... the only thing he has in common w/ Clemens is that he's old. I think he has actually put up solid numbers his whole career, despite not winning a ton of games, but signing a 40 year old not named Roger or Randy to a multi-year contract was unwise...

I don't know much about Jennings but Williams is a work horse when hes healthy, the years he spent with the Cards were good solid years, with a few ups and downs that all players go through
