Actually, you have fallen prey to the advertising for the movie 23 staring Jim Carey.
Numerology is the study of numbers and the supposed connections they have to our lives. There is no scientific explanation for it and most of it is just by chance. However, the human mind is one that loves to work in patterns. All optical illusions are based on this.
I was born on September 15 and 9+15 equals 26, which divided by two equals 13 and that is an unlucky number. Does that mean that I am the spawn of Judas? No it only means that I picked two numbers that in the Christian Society and most of the US has a special significance. I could do that with a group of numbers to prove what ever I want to. That’s the nice thing about numerology you can pick any numbers you want to prove your facts.
You have seen the commercials for the new movie and it has impressed your subconscious so you are asking this question. Or you could just be a member of the production company for the movie 23 who is trying to create some “buzz” about it. Or you could just be pulling or collective legs with a silly joke.

There are 2 answers for this:
1. (Psychological) The reason you see 23 everywhere is because you want to see it everywhere. Since you heard of it and its significance, you want to see it everywhere to add some mystery to your life.
2. (Mythical) They are all signs that the world is about to end. The Mayans perdicted the world will end 5/23/2012 and have sent God to warn the world of the event.
Plus: I see it everywhere too. (My house is 32 Goldenbush, I was number 23 in class for 2nd and 3rd grade, and I am 23 years younger than my uncle)

no, people tend to remember the times a certain number or event happened, not all the times it didn't happen...so i had one bad friday the 13th, and i only remember that, and not all the good friday the 13ths...
