im not sure when your party will be held, but ill assume it starts at night

the best way [in my opinion of course] to have a birthday party is to get everyone REALLY tired =P

try to have some activities that will tire you out early on
[for example, have some balloon fights (pillows work well too) or start a war]

then after a good 20+ minutes of having everyone being tired
play some video games [not so physically involved games]
once everyone seems alright and semi-rested, try having them play a physically tiring video game [DDR, something on the Wii, or even Guitar Hero; if you have them]

serve the cake or whatever, open presents, etc

then try to start some simple activities
[board games perhaps?]
and so, u can watch movies from then on [at least 2 should be good enough]
by now, everyone should be tired and the boys should be kicked out
the reason why you want everyone to be tired is cuz you WILL end up staying up QUITE late [and possibly into 4 or 5am]

from here on i guess you're on your own since im a guy and im the one who gets kicked out, so i dont know what you girls do after we leave
