My friend's science teacher says it is, but my other friends say it isn't. Is pee REALLY cleaner than water??(Or urine, or whatever you want to call it.

Human urine is STERILE. People have been known to drink their urine to keep from getting dehydrated. It has been reported that some have urinated on a wound to cleanse it UNLESS you have a kidney or urinary tract infection.

There is an Indian belief that great benefits can be had from drinking fresh urine, it is to do with urine being full of needed minerals and vitamins. Their was some articles about it on the web a couple of years ago but I do not remember the details, anyhow if you really want to know enter it on Google ! Cheers Pete

If you mean, is it safe to drink, then the answer is for most people yes it is sterile and drinkable.

No, no, no. Urine contains urea, and it can be toxic. It's not okay to drink urine. If you were in a survival situation, you could boil it and drink the steam that comes off the water as it condensates, but there's most likely another way to find water.

Pee is not cleaner than water. It contains salt, sugars, toxins, and more. Pee in a glass and see if the teacher will drink it ;)

I wouldn't say it's cleaner than water, but it has it purpose at times. There are a lot of Meth users that drink their urine to get any meth that might pass from their bodies that way. I wouldn't try this on a regular basis, but best of luck to you.

yes it is very clean... this is because all that pee is is the access minerals that our body is getting rid of... when you drink alot of water, you get clear pee, from too much of good minerals, and when u drink soda, you get yellow pee from minerals that your body has a very low amount, but doesnt need anymore.
