how do you keep clover from growing around your grass or garden

Clover is an indicator that the ground is lacking a nutrient. First step is to get a soil test, second, use a selective herbicide labelled for clover and use according to directions, third, fertilize the area according to soil test. When you get the soil right, you won't have a big clover problem, so the herbicide is a temporary solution.

Because of global warming there is a trend towards growing in a garden or yard what "naturally" grows there. Here in Florida they are encouraging only those plants native to our area to be grown here, i.e. clover, wild flowers, etc. and to eliminate those things that are foreign to our soil like queen anne's lace, pepper plant, etc.

So what might have been a bad thing to have in your yard in the past like clover, might be a good thing these days because of drought.
