It looks like David Weathers and Mike Stanton are going to split it until Eddie Guardado returns to health sometime after the All Star break. It's not going to be pretty for the Reds.

Who isn't going to be the closer? I find it shocking that the Reds traded away both Kearns AND Lopez for relievers without managing to get a closer. Or at least a closer in waiting. Hell, Atlanta gave up Horacio Ramirez and got one. Coffey will get a shot, Weathers will be back in, Guardado will get a shot if/when he recovers. Heck, if things get real bad, maybe they'll resign Graves and let him have at it, haha.

I personnally think that Rheal Cormier should be the closer, as they don't really have any other dominant relievers. They have Bill Bray who could take over as lefty specialist, and I don't think Weathers or Stanton are that good anymore. They have 3 lefty relievers who could be on their roster, so why not take the most dominant reliever the closer. Otherwise, I personally think that Todd Coffey is the next best option.

I'm pulling for the reds, but they have to be capable of getting into a save situation before a closer is necessary. I'd really like to see them have a better year this year...look on the bright side...they're not the Royals.
