I think they will. I think the Brewers are overrated and the Astros and Cardinals have big pitching questions. The Cubs will win the Central, but they will not win the World Series unless they let someone bring a goat to Wrigley Field.

No. They don't have the pitching. The Brewers will run away with the division.
Also, they have too many question marks on there roster, which will tell you that they need too much to go right.
The Cubs made a huge mistake by spending $300 million this offseason. They should have learned something from the Yankees that money won't guarentee a spot in the world series. The Cubs will be a desaster for years to come, because of all of the huge contracts that they offered this offseason.
I pick the Brewers to win the NL Central, because of there talant & because of there smart GM & Owner. GO BREWERS!!!!

Hey, they brought in Lou Pienella for one reason. For the Cubs to win a World Series. Look at all the off-season acquisitions that the North Siders have made. It is going to be an exciting season for Cubs baseball fans everywhere.
I agree that the Cubs stand an excellent shot at winning the Central; but I just don't see them going all the way in 2007.
The old "Murphy the Goat" curse story is a humorous bit of baseball folklore. I really don't believe in curses myself.

No. The St. Louis Cardinals will win the NL Central again this year.
The reasons:
Albert Pujols
a healthy Scott Rolen
a healthy Mark Mulder
a healthy Jason Isringhausen
and another year of experience for their young stars: Anthony Reyes, Adam Wainwright, and Chris Duncan.

i don't comprehend, yet i will inform you who it should not be - the Reds. that's going to be basically like final off season with Josh Hamilton. they're going to commerce away somebody who'll flow someplace else and blossom right into a celebrity. It in no way fails with them. the two that or they're going to commerce for a participant who seems to be an entire bust, as grew to become into the case with Eric Milton some seasons in the past. i think they signed him to a three 3 hundred and sixty 5 days, 25 million dollar settlement and that i swear that guy could no longer are becoming to be severe schoolers out lots of the time...

Unfortunately they are not. They made some big deals, but starting pitching is not there, and they need to make sure everyone is healthy, which wont be the case as long as they have prior and wood on the payroll. Not to mention Soriano will have to adjust to Center field, and i dont think his fielding ability is that good. we'll see, but my guess is the brewers. they have a lot of young talent and were playing good baseball at times last year...if they can control their consistancy issues, then they should be the best.

After spending that much money on a new manager and some major talent they better win the Central, and they will. Especially since their pitching will back up their explosive offense.

I seriously think they have a good chance.
I know thier pitching is a little suspect, but hey that is why you play 162 games. Anything can happen.
I believe in miracles, do you.
I'd love to see a repeat of the 1907 WS...Tigers vs. Cubs!!!
(only this time Tigers WIN!)
