No you do not. If you are going to do graduate work though, I would consider it as an option. It is more about getting to know the right people at the right time. Check your university and see if they can hook you up with someone or get you into the right room so you can network and find the right person. Networking and talking to people in the industry is the key for you, not your degree.

sure. the chosen undergraduate degree does no longer have plenty bearing on the graduate degree for that reason as long as you have taken all required classes that time you for an MBA first. your favorite determination is one thank you to circulate. this is one determination to fulfill top branch business enterprise classes given on the undergraduate point, that are valuable to be mandatory, which you will matriculate in an MBA and if needed, on into the DBA (Doctorate). The MBA is a nicely-cherished degree, and so a sufficient form of faculties furnish prerequisite in-classification and on line classes. no longer in assessment to scholars who do a pre-medicine music to alter right into a doctor yet important in a non-technological expertise, so does the belief persist with to what you're desiring for the MBA. And so historic previous is wonderful. One would desire to ask, What are the percentages that a business enterprise important has extra acceptable possibilities of entering into than a non-business enterprise important? nicely, you will desire to ask advisors in business enterprise colleges that question... as an occasion, scholars who important in Biology and Chemistry tend to have larger admittance expenses into scientific colleges. yet in assessment to scientific college, business enterprise college classes would be finished on line, while the time-honored public of scientific classes would desire to be finished in useful settings. And so the analogy to business enterprise that I draw right here may be extremely different.

What part of the music business?
If the creative management side or marketing, get the MFA.
Finance, operations, logistics side, get MBA.
Contracts, get JD Law degree..

I would suggest the MFA; you already have expertise in that area. MBAs are dime a dozen.

Whe you need one and you are running a bigger biz, just hire an MBA!

No, you don't need a degree. Look at Simon Cowell, he's a highschool dropout and he makes more than $50mil/yr being a record producer.

You just need to know what will sell.
