Ok. There is the temporary restraining order that is signed by a judge, then there is the permanent restraining order after the judge has heard all the evidence. Which one do you have? If you have a temporary restraining order against you, you can get it overturned. That is, if there are no police reports against you, no arrests, or any signs of physical abuse or mental abuse. Are there papers ordering support? If so, you need to continue paying it or the spouse needs to continue paying it until a judge rules otherwise. If you have had your day in court, you won't get a restraining order overturned without a whole lot of evidence. Do NOT contact your spouse or have any family members or friends contact your spouse.

You're giving us about 1/10 of the story. WHY do you have a restraining order? Of course she can cut you off financially (and should) until the divorce is final. What in the world makes you think a person who feels the need for a RESTRAINING ORDER against you should PAY YOU anything? Your assests will be determined by the court when the divorce is finalized, until then do the smart thing and don't contact this other person.

it will all be straightened out in court i am sure but if there are not kids involved and you do have sole custody of those then what are you basing this not giving me one dime on? A restraining order would not have been given had it not been shown that there was a danger of some sort

Go to divorce court. Leave the restraining order alone, talking to him isn't gonna help you get money. Go to divorce court which is a separate proceeding, and get his cash.
