i have hosted several showers and some of the games i have played are baby shower bingo you can find at party city or a party store or the food game take the labels off of 6 jars of baby food keep them closed but people have to guess what they are or the memory tray game take baby items about 10-12 place on a try put on a table or walk around for 1 min letting all the guest see it then cover or remove tray and have guest write as many items as they can think of that where on the tray down the most gets the prize if they have a name all ready you play name game take baby's name and give 3 min for everyone to make words from the name how big is mommy take ribbon or yarn and people can only guess by looking at mommy how much yarn it will take to go around her again winner gets prize it should last for about 3 hours depending on what your doing and where lunch games and gifts cake can take about that long! also doing raffle tickets is a great way to get piggy bank money for mom and dad to buy thing they don't get and do baskets with fun themes like movie basket put popcorn candy soda and a movie-ice cream Sunday basket etc take a lot of pictures and one of the best things i have from my showers is a stuffed teddy bear that everyone signed 9 years later it sits on my daughters shelve and we have read it to her and she sees how excited everyone was for her coming! or i have done a photo matting had everyone write on it and put a great picture from the shower in it later and gave to the mommy to be! have fun!

Have a lot of food and cute decorations! You can make a fancy baby shower and have a sit down meal or make it casual with finger foods. Either way make sure to keep your guests occupied at all times and remember, mommy to be is the center of attention! A baby shower shouldn't last more than a few hours, because there's only so much you can do. Play a lot of games, depending on the age of your guests. There's a lot you can find online. Good luck! My baby shower is next month, and can't wait to see what they have planned for me! :]

My baby shower was a cook out at a park which worked great for me as I'm into that kind of thing. But you may want to have it at a place and with a theme that the mommy to be will truly enjoy. Also I saw on a show-and have since thought its a great idea- that you can have the guests decorate onsies. Just buy a bunch of plain white onsies in different sizes and have a table set up with the onsies and fabric paints/markers and let the guests go to town. Not only would it be fun for the guests but I think it would be a great gift for the mommy to remember how loved she and her baby are.

Get a baby shower book. It is a great resource!

It tells what games are the best, what foods are the best, how to conduct the series of events...guest arrival, presents, games, food, cake etc (not nessasarily in that order)

One thing to be sure to have is a "Mommy's secratary" this person will sit next to the Mommy-to-be and recieve the cards and write down inside the card everything (or nearly everything) that was given by that person. When she sends out thank you cards, she can be specific. The whole present thing can be a blur and hard to remember who got you what.

At my friends baby shower we played games like pin the baby on the husband and tried to guess how many letters were in the babies name.

Hello!! I have a page off of my website dedicated to SENTIMENTAL activities at the baby shower. Plus there is a scavenger hunt activity, too!! Check it out, if you like!
