Everyone blames Kobe but if you notice they have lost a lot of games with him being a facilitator early on and then shooting in the 4th after they fell behind while he was trying to get everyone involved. I personally think the real problem is turnovers, lack of solid defense and Lamar Odom not taking enough shots. I really feel he should be taking more shots.

If Kobe's only gonna average around 30ppg Lamar really needs to get over 20ppg if they are going to compete. For one they would have a 2nd option and it would spread the defense and make it easier for everyone.

Dude you contridicted me and still didn't address that they don't have a 2nd scoring option so what is your point?

for one thing. the lakers dont suck. they are 6th in th west and have beat san antonio, dallas, and phoenix ON THE ROAD. not to mention a winning record against both san an. and dallas.
they were expected to be in the cellar this season and they are not. andrew bynum have grown up more than any other player in the nba and jordan farmar will give smush a run for his money as starter next year.
oh and kobe is taking 15 less shots a game from last year and leads the lakers in assists. plus his shot pct is up. odom has been banged up this year forcing turiaf and cook to step up as they have, yet spocadically. radmanovich is an aquisition flop, but dont count out walton who is coming along quick. this is a young team that is a force to be reconed come playoff time. dont count them out esp. with ZENMASTER at the helm

i don't blame kobe at all for the string of losses recently. in the beginning of the season, the role that kobe played was virtually the same as what he is doing now. he's taking 7 less shots than last year and his fg% is up to 48%. his efficiency is off the charts. him and lebron are the only people to average above 25 pts, 5 boards, and 5 assists in the league.

in my opinion, more teams are getting better and learning more efficiently; basically, the lack of talent has caught up to the lakers as many rookies and switcheroo teams (like the raptors who swapped 9 new players) are getting accustomed while the lakers still remain as good as they were in the beginning of the season. also, don't forget that the lakers have been going on and off the road to pretty far placse in the east, so the young unconditioned players are probably exhausted.

a solution for the problem is mainly defense. andrew bynum is still young and inexperienced, therefore not timing right for the board or finishing the play on the other end. lamar odom is still recovering, but after the all-star game, look for the lakers to be back on track because everyone will be rested.

Kobe aside, this team has no heart, no fire. You look at their faces and there waiting for Kobe to rescue them. This is Lamar Odom's fault. He has all the talent in the world but he has no fire. The rest of the team seems to follow his lead. In those rare games where he is aggressive so is the rest of the team. But when he's lazy the rest follow. It also doesn't help that they have Smush "Street Baller" Parker as their PG. He would be a third stringer on any other team. Without Kobe, the Lakers would be the worst team in basketball.

Because they don't have any game winning talent on there. Kwame's never gonna get good, Lamar has like 5 good games in a season and the rest of the team just plain sucks.

People blame it on Kobe because his constant whining lead to Shaq getting traded and the entire team falling apart. If Bryant had sucked up his pride for another 3 seasons, I think that the Lakers could've won another 1-2 Championships.
