If Philippines,Malaysia,Indonesia,Brunei and East Timor united as one single country it will be more powerful nation.These countries have so many natural resources which still are not yet developed optimally.Most of their inhabitants are muslims whose knowledges should be increased/improved.Higher education will bring them more prosperous and it will bring them to a stronger belief.Its sea water is so extensive and has many kind of fishes
Its scenery are also beautiful which can atract other nations to visit it.Tourism industry can be developed widely.Its population will be much bigger than USA.

I don t think Brunei and East Timor will join lets just say Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia. In the past in the Srivijaya Era 8th to 12th century this kingdom stretch from Indonesia to Thailand. Majapahit Empire from 1293 to around 1500 later followed. Laguna Copper Plate was found in Laguan, Philippines that has inscription that the Philippines is under the rule of Medang Kingdom of Java between 8th and 10th century. There is no overlapping kingdom actually there are several kingdom that rule the land and at times the kingdoms fought for control. But so as other kingdoms of older civilization of Asia and Europe but later on unite and form united country. Imagine Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia uniting which one coined Maphilindo in the 1960 s that will be a population of 380 million people we could have one currency like the Euro. This will be population bigger than the United States on an area where the sea is most productive and the land is rich and diverse. Imagine the potential in business, tourism, development and the exchange of knowledge between the 3 countries we may have a chance for greatness when this do happen. Megawati Sukarnoputri may even be the first president of this united countries. When this 3 countries does unite we will have new part of the world where the economic potential can rival that of China, the U.S. Europe and India.

They wont be a powerful nation, they'll be fighting for power among themselves, and at last US will gain the profit from selling weapon. It will never happens!

Melayu Raya - Melayu stands for Malay, a race. Even in Malaysia there are more than 3 races, Philippines, who knows how much, Indonesia, who knows???Do you think the other races will support Melayu Raya? not in a trillion years! I even doubt if a Malay would support this suggestion, not to say implementing it.

Since there are all Muslim and mostly poor, you would have a huge pool of USA hating terrorrists breeeders with their little paws out......and we would still help them for some stupid reason if another Tsunami hit them. Many would be considered refuges and shipped to the USA to grow up and become sleeper cells and kill infidels.
