i wonder what it's like for the criminals they bust. i mean they sit in jail and tell their cell mates that the guy from CHIPS busted them.

Actually I think it would be worse for one guy to turn to another and say " LaToya Jackson busted me for picking up hookers!"
When I first turned to the show I thought it was going to be some kind of a joke. You know how the other "Reality" shows do, like Paris and Nicole finding ways to get out of doing work when they are supposed to be making money for gas or whatever. But anyway, the show is actually pretty interesting. These stars are actually taking it seriously and doing a pretty good job and in some cases showing up the actual officers. for instance when Trish and the other officer went to that domestic dispute and realized it was just the fact that they were both too proud to say "sorry". Trish took the guy to 7Eleven and bought flowers, baby shampoo and a Snicker and told the guy to be a better man and just say sorry. The officer with her had to admit that was a good tactic but said he wouldn't be purchasing any one flowers. she took the situation and defused, when we all know the presence of the Police could have made things worse.
