It's about narcissistic behavior, not making people look good. In short it's all about garnering them attention. The "gay effeminate diva personality" isn't something they are born worth when a kid suddenly starts talking like Richard Simmons at the age of 23 when he "comes out" (making a generalization about the effeminate personality types).
If you research the word homosexual you'll find it's origins are in self-centeredness and self-indulgence rather than having anything to do with sexual orientation. Homosexuals were people whose own importance and pleasure superceded the idea of procreation. Basically their wants and desires were more important than the biological imperative.
Which feeds right into fashion. People into fashion spend way too much time thinking about how they look for whatever reason.

Being a gay man myself I can honestly say that I have a great appreciation for female beauty and for the female form. As far as the the remark about letting men who love women design for women, can you honestly imagine what you would be wearing then? Like perhaps a shear tank top with the nipple region cut out, or even more vulgar designs could ensue. However there are straight men designers who design for women and do a pretty good job of it, not to mention the hoards of female designers who design female clothing are you insinuating that if they aren't sexually attracted to females that they shouldn't design for women either?
Oh and as far the "ugly clothes" go, If you don't like it no one is forcing you to wear it, just move along to the next garment and don't begrudge anyone who might like the design. Clothing is a form of expression and should reflect your inner self to the world.
Oh and stick thin models are not all models there are full figured, plus-sized, heroine-chic, and even shapely models, how bout that.

Maybe it's because they aren't attracted to the females sexually that allows them to think about the clothes more objectively. Fashion design isn't all about beauty; it's actually quite a science, I think.
Or maybe it's just an industry that gay men usually go into because it's considered an appropriate career for them.

Exactly thats why models have to be so skinny because gay men can appreciate curves. I always thought that the clothes models were ugly its time to start a revolution no more gay men in fashion.

Kayne Gillaspie is a gay designer, and he's so amazing. And he's super sweet. He understands and loves the curves of a woman's body.
So I don't think ALL gay designers have no appreciation for female beauty.

Good idea! Then women would have transparent robes and clothes!
Models don't resemble boys. What are you talking about?
I hate stick-thin women so...

Who said that gay men have no appreciation for the female beauty? Just because a gay guy doesn't want to bonk a woman doesn't mean he doesn't appreciate her beauty.
Or are you being bitter because no gay men appreciate YOUR beauty?
