In which century? The two religions have battled ever since Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses to the door of Wittenburg Castle Church in 1517. And Henry VIII of England had his go in 1533-1538?. Then Elizabeth I and Mary I went at it again in 1553 a particularly bloody business. As was the Irish rebellion of 1641 to 1650s. And to a lesser extent the Irish Rebellion of 1798. Even in the US during the 1920s & 1930's Catholics were ostracized by Protestants. In 1928 Al Smith lost the Presidential election because he was considered a Papist due to his Catholisim. So, many treaties have undoubtedly been signed with good intent. But without date-range or a particular dynastic rein the question becomes difficult.
