Sure. If Detroit goes they can match up with anyone in the West. If another team besides Detroit goes than the West team would have to have key players injured or choke just like Dallas did last year.

The DET Pistons are unstoppable with C-Webb in the lineup. But all in all, the western conference is clearly the stronger conference with the spurs, mavs, and suns.

as far as i know i don't see that happing the western conference has a strong conference this year. anybody from the western conference can win the nba title

they have a chance... but it will require injuries to steve nash and dirk nowitzki, probably tim duncan as well as yao ming... basically not unless all the top teams in the west have late season injuries that keep them out of the finals.
