Does it really exist? What about in relation to affirmative action (and are you for or against that issue)?

It definetly exists. My sister wanted to go into the nursing program of the school she was attending (in ATL Ga) There are only so many slots but she wasn't worried b/c she had a 3.8 GPA. She was turned down. Why? Because they needed more blacks in the program! One girl she had been friends with was let in with a GPA of less than a 3.0. Well she definetly went to find out what was going on and when she let it be known that she wouldn't stand for this type of discrimination and that she would sue she was let in. Personally I think it's sad that they'd let someone who wasn't doing as well get a spot in a school like that. I am 100% against affirmative action. Everyone should be judged on their own merits and leave the skin color part out of it.

Discrimination is discrimination period. When ever some one is judged simply on the color of their skin, it is wrong and probably inaccurate. Dr. King once dreamed of a land where people are judged by the content of their character not the color of their skin. He was pretty smart. I think he was right.
Furthermore "reverse" discrimination cast doubts and dispersions of all groups who receive favorable advantages who do get hired. Many the other workers automatically will assume the minority candidate is not as qualified even if he or she is.
Also Affirmative action is one of the first recruiting tools when trying to convince Aryan youth that the world is discriminating against them.
Affirmative Action or "reverse" discrimination is self defeating ignorant and hurts those it proposes to help the most.

Reverse discrimination is affirmative action taken to the extreme. Reverse discrimination is where a strict quota system makes it nearly impossible for non-minorities to succeed, much in the same way Jim Crow and discriminatory laws and systems made in nearly impossible for minorities to succeed in the past. When less qualified minorities are given preference over more qualified non-minorities or when people are hired, promoted, or contracts solely on the basis of race, it is reverse discrimination.

Reverse discrimination = Affirmative Action.

It exists and is now a huge problem. When you favor one group over another on the basis of skin color, it is called discrimination and is wrong.

I know a young man who missed out on a National Merit Scholorship by 3 points. He was 20 points above the National Black Scholorship and 36 point above the National Hispanic Scholorship.

Unfortunately, he is of East Asian descent. Although Asians are a minority, they don't get any breaks like some other minorities. Other minorities get breaks for poor performance. Asians get punished for good performance. I think East Asians are the only group that suffers more reverse discrimination than Whites.

To claim that reverse discrimination doesn't exist would be like living with your head stuck in the dirt!

But considering all things that has taken place in the past 50 years, I don't find it surprising at all.

Reverse discrimination actually would mean non discrimination, how come it's only discrimination if a white person does it!

There is no such thing as "reverse discrimination". Discrimination is discrimination, no matter who is the target.

There should be no proffered treatment for any person regardless of race or gender. If I encountered it that would not stop me from doing what it takes to be successful.
