Work hard and apply for jobs that are promotions. Or advertise your business if you own it. By itself, hard work is not enough.

I agree.

By working hard, you will know that you tried, even if you don't meet your goals. You will be successful in that you did your best.

But if you don't work hard, but certain things come easy to you, you may be successful (like me and math). But you will need to work in other aspects to be successful (like me and english....i hate grammar).

I suppose it all depends on the individual, and the gifts that individual has. Some people can get be great at sports, and not put a lot of effort into it, while another person has to work twice as hard to be at the same level. But it is still possible.

Another thing to note, is that you can never become truely successful at something without a goal. And when you reach that goal you must set a new one.

But that's all just from my experiences.

I believe that working hard is more likely to lead to sucess than just laying around doing nothing. However, it often takes more than hard work to be sucessful.

I would have to disagree with that statement due to the society that exists now in the USA one in which it is more who you know than how hard you work that will lead to your success, some people work hard all their lives and never succeed in life they just exist, others who do not work so hard but know how to get along with people and kiss rears seem to fly to the top so to answer your question use to hard work did lead to success but now it is more who you know and luck

If you judge levels of success by how much work you've down and how hard you did it, then I agree that you can consider yourself a success. If you are saying that if you work hard you will get rich, then no, I don't agree.
