Your feedback will be left intact on your profile unless certain events occur - more on that here: http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/questions/mutual-withdrawal.html

eBay's Feedback Policy is VERY strict. http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/feedback.html
Once feedback is left, REGARDLESS of the type, it practically takes a court order to totally remove it from your profile. http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/feedback-abuse-withdrawal.html
Feedback is the backbone on which eBay built and ran the company in the first place.

That's why giving Feedback is so important because the initial decision to buy or sell from a particular seller or a buyer is made mainly from said Feedback. That is why it is of the utmost importance that you must be very careful about leaving it, whatever the outcome, Positive, Neutral, or, especially, Negative.

Did the person not deliver the goods, were they broken when delivered, or where they not to your liking? There are ways to get a refund if there is a problem rather than just giving them a Negative. File an Item Significantly Not Described Or Item Not Received dispute http://pages.ebay.com/help/tp/inr-snad-process.html If you paid with PayPal, the complaint will be referred to them. eBay wants to make their venue a fair and safe place for everyone to trade and will get involved to assist.

Yes, you do get to keep it. However, if you leave them a negative first, chances are they will either leave you a negative too or they won't leave you feedback. I find it unfair because if you are a buyer and pay on time you should receive a positive no matter what, but it doesn't always work that way.

Yes, you would keep the positive. I did this once and felt bad because the bad feedback wasn't really deserved. I had sent an e-mail (at least I thought I did) but the seller never received it. I asked for a trade or a discount. I never heard from him so I gave bad feedback. Turns out I for whatever reason did not get that e-mail to him - I wound up asking to revoke the bad feedback - costing me one +
Be carefull they can reply to bad feedback.
