Can u guys help me with this question:
"Government involvement in markets is inherently inefficient." Do you guys agree or disgree with this statement?? Why???

It's an opinionated question. It's a yes or no. I say yes, because no one body can control the economy. It's a democratic republic and every person has some say in what the country comes out to.

Government involvement leads to socialism. Socialism leads to high crimes and misdemeanors because those in power make all the decisions with very little recourse for citizens. Imagine only being able to buy baby formula on Mondays. What are you supposed to do if you have a baby on Tuesday? If the government regulated the baby formula you would be at their mercy.

On the other hand, in a free enterprise system, companies have the freedom to sell, price and choose their locations and markets. The government MAY collect taxes from them, but they have the freedom to charge, change and distribute as their company structure allows. Thus, we have more choices in products, prices, and where to shop....

I agree. Government involvement in ANYTHING is inherently inefficient. They can't even police themselves....

Agree, because no one person or committee can know everything that is going on in the world. But what else can we do? Do some research on the Internet, so you can back up what you say.
