All I remember was that you were this guy who travelled around on a big map, then it went in close to an isometric view whenever you fought something, i remember a swooping dragon, and you had to throw knives into its head as it flew by!
Me and my cousin are now all grown up now and he thinks I'm making this game up even though we rented it every weekend, please help! :-)

look at this "comprehensive" list and see if anything jogs your memory.
Look up that particular title of the game in a web browser and do some process of elimination until you have it!

I've played alot of rpg's but this one doesn't stand out in my mind. I know that its deffeniatly not earthbound though that is a great rpg.
