There was one in a town near by that was open for a couple of years but they never had any business anytime I passed by.

I think it's a brilliant idea. Great concept. However, the feasability and logistics would be more of a problem. I know I'd go through a drive-thru on a road trip to get a couple slices of pizza vs a burger. But pizza slices are messy to eat if you're driving. Getting a whole pizza to take home is good. You'd have to have a set menu of pizzas and have them continually baking and being held warm. Therein is the quality problem.

Otherwise, it's an excellent concept!

No, because making a pizza requires about 20 min. (putting it together plus cooking) it will be a long waiting for the people also the drive thru line will be a little long (LOL). Also if you have some choices already made people may bother with the kind of toppins.... you have to plan it real good people don't like to eat cold and pizza sitting in the counter it might start to taste old.... So, No... is my answer.

It would probably be fine as a drive through pickup. But you would want your phone number plastered all over town to make sure people could call it in so the line wouldn't get backed up. In other words, you would want this drive through line to NOT include the ordering process.

Maybe you could do something like a carhop style place where you park and wait with a little entertainment to keep you busy while you wait for your pizza to be fixed, instead of a traditional line. If you know what Sonic is, or what A &W used to be like, that is what I mean.

For a really unique experience, get a projector system and play ball games, classic family style movies, cartoons, etc while people wait for their pizza...and then the option is to offer in-car dining, or takeout, or eat outdoors at a picnic table while they enjoy the entertainment.

The Pizza Hut near my house already does that. If you call it in to be pick up you save on delivery charges and you don't have to get down because they have a drive thru window. But delivery is still the bulk of their business.

No. Doesn't pizza take a while to bake? You'd have a lot of backed up cars in the line. And handing someone a pizza through a window would get a little awkward.

They do very good. We have some in my area. They are 2 business's togather which are Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut. Same counter different menus, one drive thru. It's always busy

No, because pizza needs to bake for at least 5 minutes, and that's AFTER you take their order to find out what they want on it! The drive thru would take too long and no one would sit there through it and wait. Carry out and delivery is the way to go!

It would if you had a way to produce the pizzas quickly and you had some snazzy cool way to eat the pizza in the car without getting it on yourself. ... calezons to go through the drive through would be a good idea.
