I would really like to find an alternative to these two American dominated sites--any sugestions?

There are hundreds of others but none that can compare. Just google (or yahoo) "search engines". Do you see the irony?

Just click "uk results only" on google and your results wont be American dominated

Dog Pile?
Alta Vista?

These are search engines as well as service providers (some are)... I dont know if they are american dominated, but they are alternitives.

A favourite of mine is mozzilla firefox, try using this as it is really good,only problem is that it is a google thing but for me works better
