I'd pick it up and say "WILSON!" Man, I thought you were a goner.
Then place it carefully on a park bench, so that it was pointing at people walking past.

I would look at it like, "where did this come from?" I might even pick it up just to make sure what I'm seeing is actually true. Then, hand it to someone else, and let them deal with it...But I think the more appropriate answer would be, "If life gives you a lemon, then make lemonade." (I think that's how the saying goes.)
