when I was young bedtime made me feel like my parents were betraying me because that was the one time of the day where I wouldn't be spending time with them-yes, they woudl read me stories and whatnot, but afterwards they would leave and expect me to fend for myself in the dark. WHY do they have to hold your hand in the daylight walking around at the mall, yet when you're going to bed and alone in the dark they just leave you there! I felt so abandoned as a child at bedtime.

I don't know. I remember hating going to bed when i was a kid as well. I think it is because, to a child, they are starting to really learn and explore. I felt a little of that when I was in my 20's. I flew to Paris...which was a long flight, but it didn't matter to me...I just wanted to hit the town and see everything....and I was exhausted still from the flight.

Cause when they go to bed the monster in the closet starts to get hungry and bothers them.
However thats when they want to answer all your questions to keep the conversation going so if you want the truth...ask before bedtime.

I agree with Tek, they're afraid they will miss something. Think about it though, when you become an adult, an occasional nap or bedtime is awesome.

They don't want to miss anything. Plus, they know when they go to sleep, someone always sneaks into the room and fills their pants with something really smelly, and it burns!

Because we want to stay away from the monsters in our closets for as long as we can, also the internet might have something to do with it.

Because can you imagine all of the things you could be missing while you sleep? Everything exciting happens while I sleep. I'm sure of it.
