in english we are going 2 start reading a book.........i think its called Brian's Song........and my english teacher said there are quite a few swear words in there and that if it's our turn 2 read out loud we have 2 say them...........she said it's because we are in 7th grade and are "mature" enough 2 say them without repeating them in our everyday language (shows how much he knows).........my teacher will be taking points off of our class partisipation grade if we dont say the swear words but i really dont want 2 say them even though it is part of the book........do you think it's fair that she is making us even if we are uncomfortable with it??

you are reading out loud a text that has been deemed appropriate by the school board. boy, censorers are getting younger and younger these days. if you feel this strongly why dont you ban with others and burn the book outside yelling down with the devil or something. ridiculous. youre making a big deal out of nothing. there is nothing pornographic about the book, why dont you try reading it yourself first and if you find it truly offensive tell your parents to tell talk to teacher or principal.

No it is not okay for her to force you to use profainity even in a book. I usually get a bit angered by the language some of my college professors use but I overlook it just as in any book I get assigned to read. If it has profanity I mean obviously I read it but if I know I do not usually curse, I still stand by that and reading literature for school has little to do with that.
I would advise you to inform your parents and see what they believe...if they agree with your teacher then you could comply. The thing is reading a curse word in a book and actually saying it just to say it are two different things..hopefully your parents side with you.

no, if you don't want to say them, you shouldn't have to... ask your parents to write a note to your English teacher or principal explaining that you shouldn't have to read the swear words if it makes you feel uncomfotable... if enough complaints come in, the teacher will probably not make you read the swear words... good luck

no longer efficient what you advise "honest". honest relies upon on what her husband's income become, I advise he's a wealthy guy, in all likelihood would not omit $50M yet in additional than a number of circumstances in a divorce the money is going for the youngster. a woman receives alimony provided that she had no income or pastime of her personal and Heather does have a occupation of her personal. yet in all likelihood their tax equipment would take 1/2 of that, and that i do not recognize if $25M would save that child in the shape she is familiar with (in all likelihood had a wide homestead, nanny, clothing, toys, preparation, transportation) and that i'm efficient McCartney would choose his toddler to save residing in luxurious. i'm no longer efficient if the courts would enable Heather to revisit the court docket if her toddler needed more beneficial or no longer. i'd imagine sure. i recognize Heather requested for more beneficial money, and were given a lot less. She wanted more beneficial safe practices for her and her daughter.

no, i thinkhe(she?) is being totally unfair and u are being very mature in ur handling of the situation by asking for an opinion on it..a person should not be made to do something they are uncomfortable doing, and if u are penalized in class participation for it i would go to the priincipal or my guidance counselor and register a complaint...

That's technically not fair.
But what kid wouldn't jus say them & laugh ?
In my class they would take this so far they'd change the words to something 10x more vulgar lmao.
I really don't see how it would offend you so much.
They are jus words, you are in 7th grade, not 2nd.
