A bio question for the smart ppl out there;) In a study Daphnia pulex feeds on alga showing that daphnia has a stimulatory effect on the alga populations that approx. balance its impact on alga mortality rates. From your understanding of the NITROGEN CYCLE what do you think was the mechanism for the daphni-induced stimulation of growth???
Help is appreciated, thanks a bunch

Dafnia eat the algae, and produce waste. That waste includes nitrogen that the algae needs to grow and reproduce (essentially fertilizer).
