My favorite game as a kid was something called Mother's Helper.
It was a game where you went around the board and did different types of house chores for your mom. ( i know, i know, it sounds sorta lame! ) Now I like any type of trivia games

I love Careers! Actually I own three or four different versions of the game. Also, my sister and I once made up a very cool game we played for years called Allowance, much like Monopoly but we made up the cards and board ourselves.

I used to play Stratego and Risk a lot; also Monopoly, Scrabble, Panzer Leader and Parchesi. In college, we played Pass Out, Cosmic Encounter, Shogun and Axis & Allies but soon got into video games. Now I like them all still, but most people just want to play Scrabble and that's OK.

What was yours? I liked Life as a kid, but they've changed it since then and ruined it. Candy Land was another favorite. I like Trivial Pursuit and Pictionary now, but I don't play board games that often anymore.

I loved the Mad Magazine Game with Alfred E Newman.....you went around the board counter-clockwise and had to get rid of all your money to win!
Today, my favorite board game is Backgammon (or Risk which I play with my 11 year-old.)

The usual garbage- Risk, Stratego, Carreers. Got rid of them
decades ago.
Now I play real games like Powergrid, St. Petersburg, and
Wallenstein.

Not so much a board game but connect 4! That was an awesome game. I played cluedo recently aswell and I enjoyed that.

As a kid, Chess - Loved it even as a small lad. (I also loved Stratego , Clue, and Mastermind - go figure!) And nowadays, I love 3D Chess, and regular Chess most.
I also enjoy games like Regatta. I played a lot of Avalon Hill games like Squad Leader, Panzer Leader, and Starfleet Battles...Haven't played those in ages.
