perhaps the conservatives are just attracted more to questions about sex as they have strong feelings about it

I don't think the people here are as conservative as you think. Some people have taken a liberal stance in the past, only to be reported by another user and then penalized. So people "hold back" in order to avoid getting in trouble.

The people on YA are overly conservative regarding everything. Ever been to the Politics forum? Every day there is the Republican National Convention!

I am careful how I answer because it could be a young child or young teenage asking and I don't feel it is my job to answer their questions. I don't think kids should be getting answers from the general public. If I am pretty sure it is an adult, I will give a more open response

They are, but some Yahoo Marm scans the questions here and deletes them before you see them.
