I second the recommendation for Peeps by Scott Westerfeld. The Last Days by Westerfeld is good too; it's the sequel. I would also suggest Blue Bloods by Melissa de la Cruz. The sequel to that book Masquerade will be released in a few months.

There are 3 "Vampire Kisses" books by Ellen Schreiber. You can read a review of the first one here:

It's a good series - not as intense as "Twilight" - I like to call it "Twilight-light."

You said you're reading "The Silver Kiss" but have you read "Blood and Chocolate?" It's by the same author and is also very good.

My obsession is a Twilight and New Moon, I am Edwards biggggest fan. Oh my god. I am not quite sure about vampire books, and what not, it's actually a very long story about how I came to pick up Twilight. I did like A Great and Terrible Beauty by Liba (not sure spelling of first name) Bray. If you want to email me, I am pretty obsessed with books.
